Winter Hill Veterinary Clinic is offering exams on a limited basis. COVID-19 has changed the way we perform our in-clinic visits, drop off and surgical appointments. We have new protocols in place to keep everyone safe during this time. If you think your pet needs to be seen please email us at winterhillveterinaryclinic@gmail.com to schedule an appointment. 


APPOINTMENT PROTOCOL

 

BY SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE FOLLOWING PROTOCOL- PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOUR VISIT!

 

COULD YOU BE SICK?

If you, a family member, or anyone you’ve been in contact with is sick with anything that might be contagious, please let us know now! We will help your pet in a way that keeps us all safe- we have a very small vulnerable staff and appreciate your help in trying to keep us healthy and able to stay open!

 

MASK POLICY

⇨You must wear a mask covering your nose and mouth or we will not help you!⇦

 

REQUIRED ONLINE VISIT FORM

Please fill this out ASAP as we cannot examine or treat your

pet without it!*  

On  www.winterhillvet.com fill out the “Exam/History Form” located in the top menu bar. Click submit. *This form is required for every visit.  

 

YOUR PET’S APPOINTMENT

-We can only allow pets in the office and cannot allow people in the

office at this time.

-If you arrive early, you can email to notify us.  We are often finishing up with patients and cleaning.  We will accommodate you early if possible but rest assured we will be looking for you at your scheduled appointment time!

-If needed, so we can easily find you, we welcome you to park in front of our driveway- wherever you end up parking- please turn on your hazards/flashers.

-At your appointment time, a technician in PPE will come outside of the clinic.  Meet us at the bottom of the steps on the sidewalk with your pet- we can no longer directly take pets out of your car.

-You must be directly available during the entire time your pet is in our clinic (estimate a maximum of 1 hour for exams, 30 minutes for technician visits).  You must be available for us to immediately bring your pet back to you when their visit is complete. A $50 fee will be charged if you are unreachable during your pet's care or are not available when your pet is ready to go back home. YOU NEED TO STAY PHYSICALLY AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF YOUR PET’S VISIT. 

 

DISCUSSING YOUR PET’S EXAM FINDINGS AND MAKING A PLAN FOR TREATMENT

-We need you close to the physical office so we can reach you to discuss your pet’s exam findings, plan together for your pet's care and go over results and treatments. 

WE WILL CALL FROM A BLOCKED NUMBER! Let us know ahead of time that your phone doesn't accept blocked calls so we can plan accordingly

-Once all treatments are completed, medication is filled, etc, we will call to review instructions and take credit card payment over the phone. (No AMEX at this time)

-A technician in PPE will come outside of the clinic with your pet all set to go!  Meet us at the bottom of the steps on the sidewalk- we can no longer directly bring your pet to your car and place them inside. 

 

LATE/NO SHOW/24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

-In order for us to be able to provide proper medical care for our patients, perform appropriate cleaning and keep up with safety/cleaning protocols, there are late/cancellation policies and no show fees. 

-If you are 10 minutes late we will not be able to see you and you

will be charged a fee. 

-If you are late for your visit as above, and for cancellations without 24 hours notice or if you do not show up for your visit you will be charged $38.44 for tech visits, $88.53 for doctor visits, and half of the estimated cost of surgical procedures.

-If any of these circumstances occur, in order to book in the future, you will need to pre-pay for services in full.  These prepayments are non-refundable.

-IF YOUR PET IS HAVING A PROCEDURE THAT INVOLVES ANESTHESIA you will receive and email with a consent form for you to review prior to arrival.  You must choose 1, 2 or 3, as well as A or B.  If you can, please print and fill out the consent form and bring it with you- if not, we will discuss your answers when you arrive.   

-IF YOUR PET IS BEING DROPPED OFF FOR AN EXAM AND DIAGNOSTICS you will receive an email with a consent form.  If you can, please print and fill out the consent form and bring it with you- if not, we will discuss your answers when you arrive.
